TGV and ICE

I've just booked a trip to Berlin for June

Does anyone know:
Which type of TGV, TGV 9573 is (1124 Paris - Stuttgart) to Karlsruhe (how do you pronounce it?

What type of ICE will ICE 72 be (1202 Zurich - Hamburg)

What type of ICE will ICE 943/953 be? (1553 Dusseldorf - Berlin & 1548 Koln - Berlin, they join at Hamm(Westf)

Any help appreciated

Paris to Stuttgart will be a single deck TGV refurbished to the funky green, pink and purple Lacroix(?) design. Basically pronounced Carls-rure with a slight h sound at the end.

I think all of the ICEs will be the earlier versions - possibly an ICE 1 for Zürich to Hamburg, and ICE 2 for the Rhine to Berlin services.

As far as I'm aware, SNCF services on LGV Est exclusively use the TGV POS sets- Réseau carriages (based on the Atlantique design) with new power cars (similar to the Duplex and Thalys PBKA power cars)

Oh, thats a shame, I thought it might be one of the newer ones, the ICE 3 or maybe the ICE T or the TD for the second one. Oh well

The ICE 3 is guaranteed to be on services to Belgium, Netherlands and France, and uaing the Köln to Frankfurt high speed line - there may be some other services they operate, so you might be in luck.

As far as I know though, all the services that run to Switzerland are ICE 1 or 2.

Some diesel sets are operating the Copenhagen to Hamburg/Berlin services via the Puttgarten train ferry, not sure about the rest or the tilting versions.

The TGV Est sets are nice, but watch out for your head on the reading lights attached to the seats!

Click on Wagenreihungen DB-Fahrplan 2010 then the train number and scroll through the train formations, from them you can normaly work out whats being used ie. a 14-car ICE with one Buffet is an ICE1.

ICE-T sets are used on Munich-Berlin, Dresden-Frankfurt & Frankfurt-Vienna. They're not that good, ICE-3s are much better

(off topic) It would, though, be fantastic if a certain US railroad put up catenary and ordered some German tilting trains. After all, who would want to catch the Long Island ICE-T home from work?
