I applied during the same time for Trainee Conductor role and I haven’t heard anything back from that yet either. I think it may be a long wait.

Same here. I e-mailed the recruitment team. They said shortlisting is still ongoing and will be notified in due course.

I am a new member and came across this forum earlier. I had an email today inviting me for a telephone interview (Cardiff). I applied in February. Has anyone else had an email?

Hi CHMT,

Yes - I applied in Feb (for both Trainee Conductor and Driver) and had an email yesterday.

I also went through the whole Conductor process about 2 months ago up to assessment day which is stage before interview.

Passed online SCAAT and SCAAT verification too....

Just replied with time slots so waiting again now!!

Congratulations been a long wait. What is SCAAT and SCAAT verification? I definitely need to read up on the selection process.

Did you have a telephone interview for the conductor role?

If so what kind of questions did they ask? I understand that the roles are different but some questions may be similar.

Do you know if they are taking Drivers on or is it for the Talent pool as it stated on initial advert.

SCAAT is Safety Concentration and Attention Tests - google them there’s loads online. Also threads on here too....

The initial SCAAT was done at home online and then providing you meet the criteria you go and do a paper based one which verifies your online one cos obviously anyone could have sat it at home!

No telephone interview for me during the Conductor role process but after having passed the SCAAT verification had a assessment day in St Patrick’s House in Cardiff - found it strange really solo exercise to write down desirable and non essential qualities for the role then a combined group exercise to present it all to the Conductor Managers and recruitment staff present.

Think they are recruiting drivers atm but I’m trying to find out more.

There’s a thread on here for ATW Trainee Drivers that has some pointers re the telephone interview - sorry can’t seem to work out how to post the link tho....

It’s along the line of research TFW and KeolisAmey, the role as in ‘a day in the life of a driver is’ and bits from your original application too....

Did you get a no for the conductor position or you waiting for the next stage in the process?
