TfW should not be getting tram trains

The much-discussed toilet strategy is to keep open plentiful facilities at certain significant stations en route.

And given TfW's record (and ATW before them), I'll have to see that to believe it tbh. And I'm not the only one locally who has zero confidence that what has been promised regarding toilets will actually be what is delivered. And of course, that still doesn't answer the big question to be of what happens for the last trains. It can already be bad enough on a Friday or Saturday night, or after a Rugby international, and that is with a toilet! I really don't envy what the cleaners will likely have to put up with.

There's one by the cafe and tourist information place opposite the castle and another near the rail and bus station. The latter was closed by the Council but reopened by the taxi drivers association, who did the same at Blackwood bus station.

I would say that probably 90% of toilet use is on north bound trains. The only station with a toilet at the moment is Pontypridd on the island platform and look at the journey a reduced mobility passenger would have to make to get to that and then back on the following tram. I doubt most could do it in 15 minutes. If the island platform could return to 2 directional use that may help. The taxi driver's toilet at Caerphilly is again in the wrong place for north bound trains.
I think the lack of toilets rather than the lack of seats is the most worrying aspect of these trams especially for us at the Heads of the Valleys termini.
Onward journeys by bus will really stretch physical endurance as there aren't even public houses nearby which could be used in an emergency.
The whole metro philosophy only really benefits Cardiff suburbs.
