I’m not sure what your point is. I wouldn’t expect route learners to be using 197s. They are additional to the normal fleet requirements, and it is to be expected that they would utilise the oldest stock available, assuming the crew learning the route are signed on them.
The previous post you were replying to asked if 197s seen at Stapleton Rd were route learners, which you suggested was the case. I was just adding the information that they were using 150s on these route learners too.

67s must be ok - doubt anyone's cleared the Mk IVs
I doubt there would be much of an issue other than potentially at Temple Meads. They’ll be cleared for Bristol Parkway > Cardiff anyway as part of the work previously undertaken for the Grand Union application.

Mk4s have definitely made it to Barton Hill Depot, so presumably they can fit.

Not that it'd be at all likely for TfW to use the 67 sets on Bristol Cardiff given their current role on the Cardiff-Manchester.

I’d forgotten about them getting to Barton Hill - though that obviously wasn’t in passenger service.

There's a difference between route clearance and being cleared for passenger service. There's a lot of work that goes on in the background to enable fleets to operate on new routes.
