Well, after all the months of services running punctually throughout the Covid Era, it seems we are back to the old normal of Delays, and Delay Repay wrangles. I can't halp wondering whether TOCs have got out of practice in handling claims efficiently.
On Monday I travelled from Bradford On Avon to Stockport, changing at Newport. The first leg (GWR) was on time, but the second (TFW) was running late. losing further time until Shrewsbury where there was a set swap to complete the journey.
My Delay Repay Claim has been rejected by TFW and passed to GWR. I can only presume that they took one glance at the origin station, and rejected the claim because TFW don't serve Bradford On Avon.
The rejection email comes with a link to submit an Appeal, but despite multiple attempts, both on my laptop and on my smartphone, clicking on 'Submit' just produces an instruction to reload the page.
I have therefore submitted my Appeal through the generic Complaints system, and I trust there will be a satisfactory resolution in due course, but nevertheless I wonder;
1. Have any (or all ) TOCs reduced or redeployed Delay Repay staff in the absence of many Claims to process over the past 16 months?
2. Has anyone else encountered difficulty appealing TFW Delay Repay rejections, or do they generally respond appropriately when the details are drawn to their attention?
