@FrodshamJnct
Thank you
Appreciate all your help
What about HD01 and HD03 ?....are they not attached to a loco at the moment ?
Dave
@FrodshamJnctLast update was that HD01 was on exam at Crewe and HD03 is still undergoing repairs.
2 of the ECS moves are ViaI'm currently moored by the railway/canal bridge at Nantwich where I can see these out the window, very convenient.
The direction of the sets seems pretty much 50:50 - is there a reason for this on specific diagrams or do they just get turned around at random? And if so, why/how? Other LHCS like Norwich/ECML/Chiltern are relatively consistent and I can't think of any alternative routes that would involve a reverse.

In a very unlikely twist of timing I was actually driving almost parallel with 1W96 on the A40 near Abergavenny. It was just ahead, but near enough to be visible for the section where the two run parallel. I thought I could reply and say it was the loco that was pushing the set at that point. It would have been after @FrodshamJnct post though as there was an accident on the A465 that meant the Abergavenny to Neath journey was much slower.
67008+HD07 was at Canton earlier, but it is now heading back to Crewe, presumably it isn't out today due to the DVT hitting an obstruction on 1V50 yesterday, therefore meaning that repairs are needed.It seems like we are a MK4 down today? The service from Swansea this morning looks to have been a 3 car 197 (197118) with 2 cars added at Crewe. Then the return working to Cardiff is the same 5 car 197. The rest of the diagram is then covered by a fresh pair of 197s from Canton that havent been anywhere else today with 197118 taking over a Maesteg diagram from a Sprinter.
May as well be the bearer of bad news, It wont be a Mk4 Im afraid as the set for that diagram hit an obstruction and sustained some wheelset damage and is now waiting for the wheel lathe at Crewe.Now I am hoping all the sets behave over the weekend as I want more than 3 carriages on 1W11 on Monday.
Thank you.May as well be the bearer of bad news, It wont be a Mk4 Im afraid as the set for that diagram hit an obstruction and sustained some wheelset damage and is now waiting for the wheel lathe at Crewe.
Thats likely to be the case until mid week now.
