How are the sets looking for tomorrow? Are they all planned on running at the moment
From the Official Class 67 Group on Facebook:How are the sets looking for tomorrow? Are they all planned on running at the moment

Its certainly been a lot better, especially as with exams, repair and LED upgrades its requiring 100% availability at present with 5 from 5.Looks like 2026 is going much better for the Mk4s. After 4 days with missing services, the break for the storm seems to have been a massive reset. Monday was missing the Holyhead departure, which is fair enough because the set could not get there in the first place. Tuesday onwards has been all 5 diagrams fully covered and assuming today goes to plan that will be 5 working days fully covered.
Hope that continues. Have first class on 1W11 on Thursday
Meanwhile 1W12 seems to have been a 2-car 197 all week last week. 4-car this morning, but 2-cars has never been adequate on that train between Shrewsbury and Manchester.

1W12 was booked a 2 car last week, it then attached to a unit at Cardiff on the return working. Now back to being booked a 5 car throughout although with the current lack of 3 cars, 2x2 deputising isnt unusual.

Hope the full availability continues.
Whoops! Seems to be the fault of the loco, 67013, rather than the set.Very sorry. I managed to take 1W13 out by speaking too soon.
It's now 67 leading as 67010 set HD05 has taken the service instead of HD02.@sd0733

Yes theyve run on Sundays for a couple of years.Do some of these sets run on Sundays? I noticed that the 1140 is this Sunday timed (which is of course no clear indication hence the question!) as being a diesel loco hauling carriages and is a Cardiff starter. The other Cardiff starters that day are all timed as DMUs.

Anyone able to confirm one way or the other?
Oh good news! It's a bit out of the way for me so I haven't paid close attentionYes theyve run on Sundays for a couple of years.
One starts out in Crewe as the 0832 to Manchester via Styal, then Manchester to Swansea and return
The other does the service linked above but usually from Swansea to Manchester and return.

Just a host, or maybe a trolley. No chefs on a Sunday.Oh good news! It's a bit out of the way for me so I haven't paid close attention
Is there catering in 1st class or is that a Monday - Saturday only thing?
Cheers, I assumed as much but nice to know for certainJust a host, or maybe a trolley. No chefs on a Sunday.
