Rather late I know!! But there was a planned swap on W96 last night and it ran as 67017+HD06.

Tonights should have a loco swap and is planned for 67029+HD02

It’s picked up extra stops at Pontypool, Craven Arms & Church Stretton due to 1W83 being cancelled. This also delayed it leaving Cardiff as W83 come off Canton late, around 18:50, and then was failed due to having an engine out, so passengers transferred over to W65 and special stop forms issued.

Spare rake HD02 is planned to go out from Crewe on W61 or V62 to balance 2 sets at Canton for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is planned for 67020+HD01 as a spare rake, HD02+67029 and 67025+HD07 from Canton while 67022+HD04 and 67017+HD06 are planned from Crewe (last day for 06 which stops for exam when it gets back to Crewe)
67010 will trip across to Crewe ETD for onwards movement to Toton at some point for a visit to the load bank, 67014 replacing it on HD03.

Sunday should see 67020+HD01 working out of Crewe and 67022+HD04 from Canton.

Looks like it running to Cardiff only next week again. Will the 1630 Manchester ever run to Swansea again!

From next Saturday however the 0854 Cardiff-Manchester and 1230 Manchester-Cardiff is a MK4 I think. Currently its booked for a 197.

Yeah they chucked everybody off at Crewe where HD02 was waiting.

It wasn't my day for rail travel as my connecting Avanti service to Liverpool was massively delayed so I decided to jump on the LNR service going that way which had just arrived only to be chucked off that as somebody had dropped a paving slab on it from a bridge somewhere up the line and the guard wasn't going to take it any further!

Sunday no, you’ll get the buffet service but not a restaurant. Bank Hols treated as a normal Monday though so should be fine subject to the usual disclaimers
