TfW Class 67+Mk4 sets: trip planning/experiences, diagram updates etc

197114 is replacing HD02 for 1W61 14:50 Cardiff Manchester & 1V62 18:30 Manchester Cardiff today.

HD02 had previously swapped diagrams with HD03 today too, HD03 is now working 1W57/1V46 & 1W65, ending at Crewe. HD02 was down to work W61/V62 and end at Canton which will now be a unit. Fingers crossed whatever is up with it can be fixed else one of the Cardiff starters will be a unit tomorrow

Engine issues with 67010, there's also issues with 67008 (hence it's not now going on HD06 tomorrow) there so 67020 is planned to head down in the morning already. The set swap was pre-planned to get HD03 to Crewe tonight.
It was due to work the Cardiff-Cardiff diagram starting W11.

Bit of chopping and changing planned for tomorrow too. HD05 is planned out on the diagram starting with 1V31 but finishes with 17:14 Holyhead rather than 16:53 Manchester, HD06 will work the Manchester to get it to Crewe and swap 67015 onto HD06.

Saturday should see HD02/04/05/06/07 in service.

The missing sets are HD01 is mid-way through its wheelset changes on the DVT and TO, the remaining coaches of the rake are coupled to 66131 for power/shunting purposes.
HD03 is on a minor exam Friday and Saturday.

10:30 1V39 is a breakfast train throughout and from Shrewsbury the light bites options are available (grilled cheese, sandwiches, cheeseburgers etc) but not the full 3 courses on this train. Hope this helps.

It will do as the way the allocations work it will show as the full diagram (which includes W96) until the set swap comes into play later (if it still does) though the amount of swaps and changes taking place this weekend to keep everything as close to normal it’s hard to keep up!

A pretty dismal day especially at Canton with 67008/010/013 all ending up failed in the end.

Current status:
HD01- No loco split at Crewe ETD
HD02+67020- Hoped to get the set out tomorrow for a Canton start, Crewe finish it will then stop for a B exam when it gets to Crewe.
HD03+67015- On exam over the weekend, hopefully will be back out on Monday but with 67016.
HD04+67029- In service, Crewe start and finish tomorrow.
HD05+67017 In service, planned for the rugby specials tomorrow starting and finishing Holyhead
HD06+67022 or 020 Planned in service tomorrow starting and finishing Canton.
HD07+67014- In service- starts Crewe tomorrow and ends Canton.

67007 is now the recovery loco at Canton, as there's nothing running on Sunday it's planned for 67007 to take failed 67008, 010 and 013 back to Crewe ETD before going back to Canton giving a rare move of 4 67s.

No diagrams again on Sunday due to engineering works.
