Going to be taking 1V46 next Saturday, hoping that this period of failures is concluding and we get that lucky week... it isn't as important as I'm in standard but would much prefer a set over a 197..

I'm also taking a trip to Manchester on Wednesday of this week so fingers crossed. Im also in Standard but considering upgrading to First but not the end of the world if not.

Next week sees 5 sets planned to be available.
HD01 is planned to go to Crewe ETD tomorrow for tyre turning, returning on Tuesday and back into service Wednesday.
HD02 was planned to stop today for exam but due to 01 not going back out yet, 02 will run until Tuesday then stop Wednesday and Thursday for a light exam. Nothing else is planned to be stopped this week other than HD05 on its heavy exam.

So 100% availability is going to be needed to cover all 5 diagrams in full this week.

Unfortunately the crew stated that there’s no chefs on Sundays and hence no hot food or sandwiches. I was a bit peckish by the time I got home! Otherwise a good service. Definitely still an issue with people not seeing the first class branding and trying their luck with the guard…

67020 was due an exam, with the loco swap not having happened it looks like the exam wasn't either so 67020 will have it carried out on Canton vice 1 round trip and tthen should head back out on the 16:50 Manchester.

Wednesday will have a set missing all day due to a delay getting HD01 tyre turned. IIRC you said were on the 0853 which is on the substituted list.

HD01 with 67017 is at Crewe ATC at the moment.

Yes that's right. Thanks for letting me know.

I've decided not to bid with seat frog at the moment as by the time you pay the platform fee and you could even not end up getting it anyway. I will wait and see what it is on Wednesday and then decide.

Just as well I like 197s!
