Seen it too. I thought 170273 was still down in Norwich! That snuck up there!

I wouldn't bet my house on it, but I was pretty sure it's 207, 270 and 272 which have been delivered before today.

My mistake it was to be one of the first but was waiting for a battery charger so got delayed, I think it went around the 5 November.
I would be interested to know what actually turned up at Cardiff today.
Turned out to be 203Thanks for that! That's either 170202 or 170204, the other of which ran with it but has obviously been uncoupled

So I was told that 170202 and 170204 had been coupled and positioned at Norwich sidings yesterday, apparently the 170 at Tyseley is 170203, and the 170 that moved to Cardiff today is 170273.
Is anyone able to clear up the confusion...?

Sounds a lot like what the Class 170 Wikipedia article's current fleet section had been changed to in advance based on information that was trusted but perhaps shouldn't have been trusted. It's been corrected now and I replied to Richard's tweet.
thank god I thought I was the only one confused, apparently not. 270,272 and 207 were delivered in september.
according to that tweet by richard clinnick the 2 today were 202 and 204, whereas 273 was also seen at Cardiff today.
is it possible 273 may have slipped through recently or has it come through today with 202 and 204, or has 202 and 204 just not appeared, like @anamyd is saying?

I think with 170202 and 170204 he was going off what the Wikipedia article had been changed to in advance, based on information that was trusted but probably shouldn't have been trusted. It's been corrected now. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain this split up mess for deliveries after the first 3 units, which involves stopping at Tyseley.

There was this Norwich - Tyseley move last Tuesday (5th) that we obviously failed to take much notice of:

I saw it pass Werrington Jct in filthy weather - it did look to be a two-car but I was situated in the dry and wamrth of my office, unfortunately too far away to see the number!

We will just have to keep an eye out for any Norwich - Tyseley/Cardiff moves now.
Tyseley is certainly a depot experienced with 170s. Either GA are paying for some maintenance as part the returning the stock off lease agreement or TfW are paying for some changes of their own. Or I'm wrong on both counts !
