TfW and Strikes

Am I safe in assuming that any journeys I book on solely TfW (Transport for Wales) trains in the Marches/Hereford/North Wales area will not be involved in any future strike action at the current time?

Never quite sure where RMT and track maintenance fit in, although I believe the maintenance arm of the union have already agreed so no longer join in with strikes. Is this correct?

TfW will not be affected by any strikes whatsoever for the foreseeable future.

At the moment the only issues are on RMT strikes the lack of station staff or stations being locked up means TfW can't call. This is mostly on the Birmingham/Liverpool/Manchester routes.

The last one was fairly short due to change in dates so less than 12 months. The next one is overdue but getting close to being put to members

It will be interesting to see what they deem acceptable / affordable. The view of 'SuperLuke2334' that there won't be strikes for the 'foreseeable future' is somewhat dependant on what pay increase is offered.

I totally agree that there isn't currently a dispute, but the rate of inflation hasn't materially reduced, and could still present future challenges.

I wouldn't rely on them too much though, their service seemed all over the place yesterday (at least around the trains I was looking to get).

There's a new deal with ASLEF that should be getting put to members in a ballot soon that not only includes a pay rise, but also lots of "modernisation" of T&C's, including making Sundays a part of the working week.
It's amazing what can be achieved when you don't have the dead hand of the DfT to deal with.....
