TfL staff gym

Hi,

Is there a really a TfL (or LU) staff gym that costs only £50 or so a year( NOT a month!) ?

Only £50? I dont pay anywhere near that for bannatynes (which isn't that good for weights mind you so thinking of changing)

Working for TFL I can tell you 3 things -

A) There is no "TFL Gym"

B) Certain Gyms will give you a TFL discount (usually a laughable 2% discount and only one I know of is near head office in Blackfriars)

C) Unless your getting full spa facilities as well, 50 quid is a joke!

A friend of mine who is a CSA for LU once mentioned about going to the staff gym. I believe it was located at Baker Street station. No idea how much it was, I'll try to ask him.

There is a gym at Baker Street, (London Underground one, not TfL!) I don't have a clue how much it is though since I get my Gym through university for cheap enough.

Only £50? If that's cheap to you, why not go for something more reasonable for your budget, like the The Harbour Club?

Quite a few based at Palestra went to Fitness4Less which was £14.99 a month. Just as well it was so close by really, the office life involves sitting down all day with a never ending supply of general goodies and sweets people bring in from holiday!

I can confirm there is a gym at Baker St. A colleague uses it. No idea as to the cost.

It's gone up to £15.99 a month plus a rather cheeky extra £5 in February which they don't mention when you sign up.

My other half is currently working for a company which provides a gym which is free to all staff.

From my earlier message, my friend also confirmed it was at Baker Street too and said it was indeed £50 a year, however there was a long waiting list to get access to the facilities.
