TfL Rail Class 360 Shortage

TfL Rail West is taking a real hit today with, to my understanding, only 1 out of 5 360s in service - they are 4 trains down.

Since MTR took over, the shortage has progressively gotten worse with MTR usually down to only 3 trains a day, resulting in the suspension of the Heathrow ITT (The free interterminal transfer from T2&3 to T4 that allows a quarter hourly service on this leg).

There is a train every 90 minutes operating to and from Heathrow Airport operated by TfL Rail at present. Passengers advised to wait for a GWR or 345 service, use the Piccadilly line or local bus services in the case of Hanwell who is suffering really badly as a result of this.

From my sightings, I have not seen 360205 in service since MTR took over. Anyone know where this unit is?

Interesting GA have been sufferling from stock shortages, (across the whole fleet EMU, DMU and loco hauled), for some time. In one twitter response there was mention of a problem with one of the suppliers of spare parts for the EMU fleet going into receivership. I assumed this was for the heritage fleets 317/321 but could it be for the 360s? Generally they hadn't been able to cover all peak diagrams for some time, (the 17:38 ex Liv St to Ips is a frequent service for cancellation, short form, or start from downroad at somewhere like Chelmsford!) From the May timetable change the number of diagrams for the 360s was also reduced from 20 to 18, but that could be due to mods (toilets and wi-fi fitment), but I wonder if there is a similar problem affecting both fleets?

Pathing would be a big problem with that as you would have to reverse in one of the Relief line platforms in Hayes.

They're back to two trains now out of four required. Recovery is looking good but the service has been really poor all day. Hopefully all 5 are back and working soon.

It did appear to be in service this morning when I arrived into Paddington, but when I left around 3 it was parked up in the Hex depot.

I think it was testing as I saw it in the bay at Hayes and Harlington this morning.
