Hi all,

Does anybody know if the “two strike” rule applies to TFL for drivers. I’ve heard that if you fail the process twice at other TOCs it doesn’t prevent you from applying internally for a drivers role at TFL. Any advice is appreciated

As far as I'm aware. The two strikes rule applies to everyone; assuming you mean mainline driving. Underground, I have no idea.

TfL Drivers are mainline drivers employed by TOCs (ARL, MTR), and the two strike rule applies to them.

TfL Operators (Tube 'drivers') are not Drivers, and you can fail at that as many times as you like without it affecting your Mainline Driver two strikes.

Thank you for the informative response. I can breathe a little easier now I know there is still potential into the role (or something similar) should I fail any of the assessments I am about to encounter. Thank you!
