Will be using this on Sat from London Bridge to East Croydon for the first time
how will it know i have a railcard?

do i have to register it at a ticket office beforehand?

You can't combine a CPC with Railcard discount; it's only available on Oyster which has been registered by staff assistance on an Underground ticket machine or at certain NR Ticket offices.
