Is this something Wright advertises? I'm not aware of any Streetdecks currently in service on guided routes
The latest batch of Leeds Electroliners (36632-53) were factory built with the cutaway behind the front wheels to allow for guide arms to be fitted so must be authorised by Wrights.

These are used daily on the York Rd and Scott Hall Rd guideways and I'm not aware the guide arms "keep snapping off" as implied in the previous post.

I'm sure it does happen occasionally, more likely the wheels get knocked off (as happens mostly with ours at Bolton) as drivers sometimes misjudge or aim abit aggressively at the entrances...

Yes indeed I agree with that, however the tone of message 2850 implied to me that the reason they were snapping off is due to the type of bus rather than driver negligence. I'm not aware this is happening on a regular basis and if there has been any instances then I would assume it's due to driver negligence.

Ten of Metrolines 74 plate Ultroliners are off to Go North West at Wigan. Replaced by some more B9s out of storage I’m lead to believe.

PVR increase somewhere in guessing?
beginning of the end for some of GNWs older Enviro 400s I believe. Ironic given Metroline will just have to reintroduce some older things themselves and those E400s were full refurbished compared to the B9s which have not been touched in years.

Seems an odd move, good to see some B9s returning though
They’ve never left! Seen today looking incredibly shabby. Seen as they’ll be sticking around until an EV order is placed and delivered for Hyde Road - they could at least give these a wash and clean inside.

Also quite ironic when you consider those B9s are 3-4 years older than the ex London Enviro 400s at Wigan

I knew there were a couple still floating around but most haven't tracked in months, I assume some of these will be the ones coming back into use

In the year 2100, when every garage has been electrified for well over half a century*, there'll still be a couple of knackered old Volvo B9s, hiding in a dark corner at the back of whatever is the futuristic equivalent of Hyde Road, that get dug out when something goes wrong.

* Every garage except Stockport, where the works are considered redundant because everyone knows the whole thing is going to be rebuilt on the site of the ambulance station within the next few years anyway.

Its not unexpected to move Wrightbus Ultraliner's to Wigan, as Wigan will possibily be the last depot to have anything electric, simply because its difficult to electrify at the rear of a large industrial estate, and would cost a lot of money to do, therefore it makes sense to send Streetdecks to Wigan to make the double-deck fleet entirely Streetdeck. However what I am not sure about is why, MX58 Volvo B9's would be re-instated, surely something could be moved out of Bolton in exchange, perhaps the B9's there, would be a better bet, seeing as they are being replaced at Bolton/Heywood with the next batch of electric's. I presume that the changes at Wigan will not be as simple as putting the ex Metroline Streetdecks on the 609, and more likely they would be allocated to 610 board's, as that is Wigan's busiest route and has always been favoured newer vehicles than other routes at Wigan Depot in the past.

TFGM certainly want their monies worth out of the B9’s after the debacle with the Scania’s.

Most of WDS227-236 are now out of service (according to bustimes) with only 3 in use earlier this morning.....presume these are the ones to go (WDS226 already went to Stagecoach a while back).

To add, there are x2 E200MMCs coming across aswell.

First x3 coming across today, the rest on Monday apparently. Should be on the road sometime during the end of the next week.

I wonder what the fleet number will be? From 3502 or 3600?
Likely 3502 and the 36xx were those omnicities that metroline refused

== Doublepost prevention - post automatically merged: ==

Yea due to 3500 and possibly 3501 (2201)s existence, a whole fleet number group has been wasted but yes its likely to be 3502 onwards, unless they reuse 3501

Possibly because the Ultroliners are TFGM owned where as the Bolton B9s are GNW owned. Also the MX58s are TFGM owned too.
