Tesco Traffic under Threat?

From 1 April, DfT is reducing railfreight grants by around £5millons pa. Meanwhile, the HGVs which will replace the trains are now subsidised at 70% of their costs to society.

It is believed the traffics under threat include the Tesco trains which are looking to revert to road.

Even less for the new class 88 locos to do!

Absolutely absurd. And then the government threatens fines on councils for their local air quality not improving... go figure.
