US open is about to begin soon

I'd like to see Marray defend it but its hard to be against Nadal who is in blistering form

Who are you all going for?

Del Potro. On form, won at Flushing Meadows before, think he's really up for it, but the top 3 will be very hard to beat.

Laura Robson won her first round match, by beating Lourdes Dominguez Lino of Spain in straight sets, 7-5 6-0.

She then defeated fellow 19 year old Caroline Garcia of France in the second round 6-4 7-6 (7-5 tiebreak) to proceed through to the third round.

In what was a shock result, Lleyton Hewitt moved into last 32 of the Mens Singles by defeating Juan Martin del Potro in a five set match 6-4 5-7 3-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-1

i'm looking forward to seeing this Marray bloke Is he any good

Well, Johnathon Marray, together with his partner Colin Fleming, did very well in the Mens Doubles and proceeded to the last eight, before losing 7-6 (9-7) 6-4 to the number one seeds, Bob and Mike Bryan.

It should be a good final in the Mens Singles between Djokovic and Nadal. Nadal has played quite well on the type of surfaces there and has been careful with his health in the preparations leading up to the US Open.

Mouth watering final I hope Nadal emerges victorious

Today sees a repeat of the 2012 US Open Womens Singles final between Serena Williams and Victoria Azarenka. This year, they have met three times in tournaments, with Azarenka leading 2-1 in victories.

The first set started with both players have their serve broken.

Williams victorious in three sets 7-5 6-7 (6-8) 6-1.

Told you :) Nadal is now only 4 slams behind Federer

Nadal's victory by 6-2 3-6 6-4 6-1 was really emphatically proved as soon as the fourth set was commenced as Djokovic seemed to be somewhat overwhelmed on this type of surface.

The top three Mens Singles Grand Slam winners are now:-

17...Federer
14...Sampras
13...Nadal

Nadal will at least match Federer in terms of slam titles
