My wife has this ticket. 'Not valid on any train before 09:30, M-F' is the only restriction on BRfares. Route is Any Permitted'.

Is it valid via London? National Rail offers the journey (e.g. 09:52 from Aberdeen) but says it can't find a valid fare. If I understand the routing guide, which says LONDON, then it should be OK.

It's an e-ticket so I guess it won't work on the underground, but will it work on Thameslink+Elizabeth line from Kings Cross to Paddington?

Will gates or staff at Paddington have a problem with an off-peak ticket being used in the evening peak (18:03)?

It’s valid via London, but the ticket does not have a Maltese Cross, which is why an eticket was issued, but even the paper equivalent would not be valid across London.
Personally I’d pay the fare from King’s Cross to Paddington.
Yes, Paddington always seems to have a problem with off-peak ticket validity. Be prepared.

Thank you.

If I may ask, how do you know there would no Maltese Cross if it were an old-fashioned ticket?

Because it would be indicated in BRFares.

It would (or should) be valid across London but TfL staff are unlikely to agree. That would include the staff on Elizabeth line barriers, and I wouldn't rule out a difficult conversation with Thameslink staff at the St Pancras gate line.

The 'expert' version of BRfares, then.

Is that also why National Rail can't find a valid fare?

I just prefer the detailed view. No idea about National Rail, but it could be the “Cross-London NO“ indicator.
