Loco will be pair of Class 67s
Train will be Cotswold Rail

If Cotswold are operating it wont it more likely be Class 47s as CR dont operate 67s?

I'm still waiting timings confirmation, but it is definitely a Cotswold Rail train with Class 67s supplied by EWS

Thats unusual. I doubt Cotswold have class 67s on their safety case or have any drivers which loco knowledge. Any idea of the stock as its an overnight train?

Yes it is quite unusual (a first?). I'm sure there are probably some ex EWS drivers on CR's (or Advenza's) books - I know one driver who used to work for them, and previously he'd been with EWS, MML and Merlin, so no doubt there are one or two others with a similar background.

Would you put a load of football fans, who have been drinking for hours before boarding the train in your newly refurbished first class train?

This tour could have made good use of the night star stock and a 92, if teh coaches hadnt been sold to canada!

Not only that, if Eurostar sets were available for charter, there would be no need to change trains!
Obviously it is not practical to operate a Eurostar on a route where the characteristics are not known, but everything is in place to have these trains operate between Glasgow and London Kings Cross, and the WCML should be up-to-standard now

But HS1 won't be officially open by that date, so would the track from ECML / WCML to Waterloo be cleared? I assume the train would still have to pass through a UK border post at some point?
