This may be a longshot, but does anyone have, or know where i can get, gradient and route maps for the tarka line?

Trying to make the route for Railworks. Mainly Barnstaple to Bideford.

Yes I thought it was good to watch. Even 7 miles is quite far for a little train to go, with wheels caked in dirt etc.

It was terrific! In the end, I don't think it mattered that the trains didn't make it - they aren't designed for outside. What was wonderful to see was the enthusiasm of the local people* for the model railway - as James said, it was amazing to see how long people would stay up, in darkness, just to watch a train go by.

Bear in mind that even 7 miles is going to take you about 6 months if you do it right. It took me that long doing the Tetbury Branch which is/was about 7 and a half miles long. Mind you that was with 2 or 3 accidents along the way when I lost a lot of ground, which seems to happen to most people. Dont want to put you off mind, it would be a very nice route to see in the sim. It needs more southern routes, particularly with the nice austerity being worked on.

Did they ever actually run West Counties on the line, or was that Oz getting a bit carried away?
Thought running through the level crossing actually IN the track as a giant cutting was a nice touch.
