I'm trying to help a friend with train tickets from Taplow (TAP) to Ryde St. Johns Road (RYR).
Using BRFARES, I can see there's an Anytime Day Return (SDR), route Reading Not London, priced at £57.20. Checking for train times via TPE website, I can see the proposed route is as follows:
Taplow - Reading - Guildford - Portsmouth Harbour, then a ferry over to the Isle of Wight, followed by an Island Line train from Ryde Pier Head to Ryde St. Johns Road
Could somebody with more knowledge please confirm if the Anytime Day Return ticket includes the Ferry crossing, or is this an additional cost on top of the rail fare ?
