Does anyone know any freight times through Tamworth?
With the two levels combined, Tamworth is a very busy spot,
and [plug]is a Freightmaster timetable (two, in fact!)[unplug!]

Probably going there on thursday
That's the best day to go at present, as you will
see the 47-hauled Burton on Trent to Dollands Moor
empty steel train around 13:25, and much more besides!

You'll be given advance warning of passing trains in the platforms by the automatic announcements. As far as I know, all freights will use the slow lines on the lower levels.

IIRC, 6Z48 (Colas 47s)(the most decent one) uses the HL station

Again, the link to Freightmaster have been removed. Please remember it is a paid service and providing links to the pages is against their terms.

There is 4L92 on the low level between 4.00 and 4.30 which usually produces double class 86's.

It does run this Thursday, 1Z15 I think. Runs to Worcester, then down the Cotswold line to Oxford North Jn where it sits for 20 odd minutes, then goes back up to Worcester. It doesnt sit long at Worcester though, but you could get photos at Evesham or Moreton when it does the token exchanges.
