Talgo UK customers?

Any idea who the potential Customers are for Talgo's new Uk operations?
apart from there HS2 bid i cant think of any other TOC that would need anything they currently have on the market
most High speed TOC's are going with Hitachi's 80X Series
i cant see any market for there LHCS
i just feels so strange for them to set up a full operation in the UK without any confirmed customers?

Anything from their current range wouldn't be suitable for the GB classic network without some serious adjustments, a bit like how Stadler's GB units are quite different to much of their previous work on the continent. I assume that if they don't win any orders they'll shelve the factory plans.

They aren't - it's conditional on winning the HS2 order

Talgo UK is very much dependent on winning the HS2 order.

As an aside I do like the Talgo products from what I’ve seen. They aren’t just loco hauled trains (please, no more loco hauled orders for the UK) they do some high speed EMU’s. They are very clever products when you look into them such as regauging the wheelsets whilst in passenger service.

Maybe a Scotland - Northern Ireland link could use this technology (I am half joking here but there are aspirations for a bridge between the two countries so.....).
