I attended the morning session in Plymouth yesterday and a few people were turned away for not having the correct ID. The assessor told them that they could come back that afternoon or this morning (Thursday) but that there would be no more assessment days this year.

I’ll be honest people not turning up with the correct ID and documentation baffles me.
If you can’t follow the instructions of a simple email, are you the right person for this role?

There was another session this morning and the next ones are in Exeter in October.

2 weeks until the results so fingers crossed...

People in the afternoon assessment were also turned away for not having proper paperwork or arriving late

Do you know why they have split the assessments with such a long time apart and different locations if it’s all for the same job? There is just over 5 months difference between the Plymouth assessments and the Exeter assessments even though it’s still for trainee driver based on Plymouth?

I'm quietly confident. I counted 10 rows completed on average while they were collecting the GBD, managed 42 answers in the dials and the others seemed quite straightforward.

I don't usually get nervous at tests or interviews but the magnitude of this opportunity put some pressure on! But I felt that the nerves helped me focus.

Also, I practiced from the day after applying in April.

I feel I gave myself the best chance and whatever the result is, I enjoyed it.

I expect that you will get them a little sooner if past experience is to go by.

No idea really. There were around 40 in my session, some were for Par vacancy. 3 sessions may mean 120 all in.

Yeah. Despite persuading myself to be patient, I can't help checking my emails every 5 minutes!

Thanks, mate hope you have success as well. I was hoping to get another date straight away as having to check my email every hour is a right pain.
I'm over the moon but the change in the workforce requirements makes think they have oversubscribed with applicants.

I wouldn't worry I think it's more to do with the company still not having decided what work the new drivers will be doing yet I imagine once that's finalised they will know how many people they need. Good luck to all who applied ( including the huge number of internal guys!)

I had the same quote on my email when I was successful at stage 2 in relation to a future date for my DMI. I then received an email the following day with a date, so I wouldn’t get too worked up over it

The email says SJE, MMI pre interview form and MMI.

No mention of computer tests but assume they will take place?

Yeah you will do the SJE first then the computer tests, if successful you then do the MMI at least that’s how they did it with us

Well done, my one is 7th October, quite a big gap between dates do you think that means you are ahead of me in a separate group of applicants or will we all end up in the same pool if successful.

No idea how it works. I may have been quicker at booking? Who knows?

It’s probably sorted a little by depots and demand.

Just seen they have just advertised for talent pool based in Exeter.

Possibly of interest to some there will be 9 manouverer vacancies coming up (restricted to Laira depot and won't be on full drivers money, but may be a good foot in the door.
