Talent pool expires. Northern.

Quick question.
When you've hit the 9months in the talent pool without getting put on a course do Northern let you know?
Mine expired a while ago but had no email to confirm and the portal still says "application on hold".
Am I still in with a chance of a course or is that just wishful thinking?

They should let you know.

I'm aware several internal applicants for roles have been told they need to re-interview if they wish to remain in the talent pool, so I'm not sure how it works for external applicants but I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.

I presume you have seen the Hull driver vacancy? Possibly worth applying if you are within the distance.

Thanks Skyhigh, I've heard they have re-interviewed externals in the past but as I've not heard anything I don't think it's the case for me (it's a conductor role at a small station).

Yeah NorthernTech I saw that, I'm 9minutes to far away though so will need to wait for something to come up closer unfortunately.

In a past talent pool I was in for conductor I was offered another interview just after the 9 month expiration date.

From experience, I got no notification of the talent pool expiring. Although it did coincide with a franchise change over which I don’t assume will have helped things.
