Taking second assessment

Hi I recently took an assessment with a TOC that accepts national standard and next week I've got another assessment but they accept enhanced standard. I probably won't get results before I take the enhanced rest, but my question is, are both these tests my 2 chances or because they require different pass levels they'd be marked individually. Say I pass my standard but fail enhanced will I still be able to continue with first application?

You can only take each test once within a 6 month period. The second TOC will use your NI number to check the scores that you achieved with the first TOC and let you know if that is enough to pass with them too or not. If you fell short of their enhanced standard, you would be required to sit the tests that don't reach their standards again, but you can only do this after 6 months has passed.

Also note, you keep your most recent test score for all TOC's, meaning if you failed to achieve a standard pass again on the resit, this would override your pass with the first TOC too. If this was to happen, it would count as 1 life lost in total.

Sorry to be the bearer of possibly bad news, but contact the TOC that you are about to undergo assessments at and clarify when you last took assessments.

I took assessments at a TOC which accepted national standards and passed. Approximately four or five months later, I was invited to assessments at another TOC which required enhanced passes. I RSVPd and turned up on the day. The second TOC was aware that I had passed to national standards previously. I thought they had asked and I had told them the date, but I found out later that they hadn't asked the date. I was turned away before even taking the assessments as I was ineligible. Apparently you cannot take assessments within six months of previously taking them - irrespective of whether you previously passed or failed.

I'm sorry, but I believe, based on my previous experience, that you will be turned away.

Thanks, if say I've passed to an enhanced level, on my first assessment will they then accept those results? I emailed the Toc and they said to come on the day and ask about it then, because it's a different pass level the person taking tests is best to advice

It depends on the Company. I have had one TOC accept me to their own enhanced pass level without having to re-sit any tests. EMT on the other-hand rejected me purely because I had sat the Group Bordon Test within 6 months of applying to them, irrespective of my score.

Unless there is a test taking place on the day that you have not sat in the previous 6 months though, such as an optional DFFT or Written assessment, you would not be allowed to sit any more on the day if within 6 months. I would try and find out who is running the tests (OPC?) and contact them direct.
