Tactile paving on platforms

I can see the obvious advantages of tactile paving near platform edges to warn blind passengers of their whereabouts and potential inadvertent danger when no train is present. However, if said blind passenger goes to a station not so equipped, how are they made aware that there is no tactile paving?

I think that tends to be confined to those that only have it partially. What I find confusing is that the tactile paving is almost always on the “platform edge side” of the yellow line (often by quite a long way) which it is now apparently instant death to cross - unless you’re reliant on tactile paving.

Many stations have a yellow line and bright yellow tactile paving, at some locations half the width of the platform is taken up. Announcements tell us to stay behind the yellow line- both of them or just the painted one?

I think there is a program to install these markings on many stations without one since ~2020, but even quiet stations are installing them, such as Spooner Row (near Norwich with almost 400 passengers in 2022/23). They were installed there sometime from May 2023.
