T&T 47s to Great Yarmouth

Does anybody know whether the top n tail 47s will be working this Saturday (15th)?

(Sorry if this has been bought up before)

The summer only Saturday drags stop at the end of September. These are not top and tailed - the 47 runs around.

The Lowestoft or Yarmouth TnT are vice a unit and to my knowledge don't run at the weekend.

gazthomas is absolutely right. They don't operate at the weekend. Only a Monday - Friday working, and the Lowestoft trip is a bonus working as the 47's are only booked for the Gt Yarmouth trips.

If you can get to Norwich, do it ASAP as they're expected to finish soon. Units are being brought in from Arriva Trains Wales in the form of 150's. 150280 is at Crown Point and is rumoured to be joined by a couple more class mates in the not too distant future. However, I've not heard that officially, but I've heard it come from a few different directions.

I hope its not too late now, the next time i'll get to go on a week day is in two weeks.

I don't think they're supposed to go that quickly. In 2 weeks, you should hopefully be ok. If I find anything out, I'll drop you a message.

The 150's have been brought in so Crown Point can send the 153's and 156's off for maintenance without being short of units. I think an extra unit has been brought in so the loco hauled can be stopped as it costs more to run that than it does a unit!

The RHTT's will keep us occupied when the unit vice ends. Although it ran all day to Lowestoft earlier this week!
