Circle line service pattern will be Edgware Road to Hammersmith via Notting Hill Gate, Aldgate, Edgware Road.
Then, Hammersmith to Edgware Road via Edgware Road via, Aldgate and Notting Hill Gate.

This means that if you are traveling from Notting Hill Gate to Baker Street, you will have to change at Edgware Road. Circle Line services will, effectively, cease being a Circular service.

I presume then this means the complete elimination of H&C line services, if so what happens to those trains from edgware road/liverpool street to plaistow and barking? will this result in no passenger service on the liverpool street to aldgate east section?

As far as I'm aware, the H&C will continue as it is.
The Circle line pattern is being changed because any delay anywhere on the line causes delays right through the line. This new pattern should reduce that dramatically

EM2 is correct, the Hammersmith & City Line service will stay as it is, with only a few minor timetable alterations.

The new timetable will increase the service between Edgware Road and Hammersmith, and provide a fixed terminus for Circle Line trains meaning it will be easier to get them back on timetable.

The main problem is lack of understanding by customers. Despite large signs detailing the change, many people did not understand.

Northbound trains from Hammersmith were being displayed as 'Circle Line' until Aldgate when they changed to 'Edgware Road'. Inner Rail (anti) from Edgware Road were shown as 'Circle Line' until Aldgate where they were changed to 'Hammersmith'.

The destinations on the Inner resulted in numerous passengers waiting on the platforms between Liverpool Street and Edgware Road for a Circle Line train, not understanding they need to change for services towards Notting Hill Gate.

The new pattern will also increase the workload for the Hammersmith & Edgware Road signallers. For Hammersmith, it will create problems when attempting to resolve late-running, as there will not always be a spare platform.
For Edgware Road... well I just think that will be chaos for the signaller, considering what they have already!

There posters telling passengers about the fact that they will need to board a circle line train on the hammersmith & city line platforms if they want to go to baker st etc at cardiff central yesterday and from what i have heard that it has caused a bit of overcrowding problems on the hammersmith & city line platforms at padddington as well as longer ques at the ticket machines on the footbridge leading to platforms 15 &16

I imagine it has caused a few problems for Paddington H&C, considering the narrow staircases, minimal amount of ticket gates etc... but the question is, perhaps it may go well this weekend, but will it be the same when the real timetable comes into effect..?
