Hello all, I've read this thread and would like to offer my opinion. Last Saturday I went on the 08:45 from Salisbury to Exeter, which was formed of two class 159s. It is a slow route but the standard class seats are definitely more comfortable than the ones in FGWs refurbished HSTs. I sat at a table but the legroom was a bit tight because someone was sitting opposite me. I would estimate the train was about 75-80% full which is surprising for a Saturday morning.
