A mate of mine has told me that the TVMs at Clapham Junction are charging £9.20 instead of £9 for a zone 1-2 day Travelcard since the new fares changed. Anyone had any similar experiences or know how this may have come about?

Re-reading my post my point could have been more obvious. There has not, unless I have been asleep for a week, been an approved price change to Travelcards.

Same price is being charged at Waterloo East TVMs by Southeastern.

Looks like they've admitted to a "software fault" on Twitter: https://twitter.com/SW_Trains/status/469138273320050688

Well, given software faults cut both ways (c.f. EMT's recent slashing of prices from Yorkshire via Chesterfield to Kent) I'm less inclined to give them a hard time.

It's not nationwide as SWT's website (at least) is doing the right price.

Anyone in a convenient location to check other TOCs' TVMs?

I checked TVMs at Brockley (London Overground) and East Dulwich (Southern) last night, both were showing the correct price of £9.00 for a Z1-2 Anytime Day Travelcard.

I tried having a nose around on a couple of SWT TVMs at Waterloo and an AGA TVM at Stratford (all S&B). In both places I couldn't find this particular ticket  When I selected a Z1-2 Travelcard on the SWT ones it only gave me a 7 day ticket. There was no such Travelcard on the AGA one, and unfortunately, unlike SWT, their TVM didn't describe the Travelcards in a jargon-free way; having them as "R1256" etc (as opposed to "Zones 1-6") same with the "U1256" etc tickets which are actually for a single journey.
What i didn't check on was a LUL machine (ones at Stratford had Cubic written at the bottom) or a SE machine at Stratford International (also S&B)

Just had a look at Denmark Hill (Southeastern, S&B) and it's also showing the correct price of £9.00.

It's unlikely that a machine at Stratford would sell a zone 1-2 travelcard as Stratford is in zone 3.

I expect the SWT TVMs at Waterloo won't sell it at Off-Peak times as a Zones 1-6 Travelcard would be cheaper. Generally SWT TVMs won't let you buy a more expensive ticket than you could need, so they won't sell Anytime Day returns once Off-Peak Day Returns are valid, provided the Off-Peak Day Return has no evening peak restriction.

Yes that's correct.
