I got an interview for SWT next week and it's for a role in the ticket office and I just wanted to know if anybody knows what they are expecting from the interview. Things like what to answer etc . .
Also, does anybody know any of the incentives working for the company?
Thanks
The amount of feedback from Southern I received over the years has become really useful. The interview is a bit like the application, its all competently based and depending how you look at it, is rather easy, its also score based, so you want to try and get to the magic 100% (I think it is) as possible, basically, they work on seeing how well you are at dealing with a situation, like "tell me a time you had to deal with a difficult customer."
You'll get 3 questions like that and the like, I think there is scores for other areas as well, enthusiasm, etc, but yeah, remember STAR.
Situation
Task
Action
Result
They are also looking for certain elements as well, safety working, rule following, team working, customer service, etc. I think I wrote a list of them somewhere, so that may help as well, along with my experience.
By the way, what role did you apply for? I applied for a ticket office role at Liphook and failed the assessment, although I had an interview for a gateline position and passed it, but I'm still agency staff and that was like 2 weeks ago.
