SWT takeover by MTR

Can anyone shed any light on what happens to anyone involved with SWT, who are at assessment stage or further will they still proceed with them? Or would they pull the plug. New to all this so was needing clarification, would it be worth while ringing HR to see what will happen.

I'd like to know as well, I have 2 outstanding applications with them, one for a Guard position where I passed the assessment day in December but haven't heard anything since, I reckon this is the reason.

Nothing will change until August - so no point asking HR as they simply won't know. It's just a change of badge and name on the payslip to some extent, their requirements for staff won't change that much straight away

Also, MTR aren't "taking over" What you and many many media outlets have ignored today is that MTR are a minority shareholder int he venture, as it is First Group who have a 70% stake in the new franchise
