A friend of mine would like to know if anyone else has experience of applying for jobs with SWT and asked what it means if their status has gone from "new" to "open" in the software that SWT use? It's been like that a week apparently.

TIA

I think open means the application has made it through the initial (computer) sift and is awaiting the manual sift.

Stressing I think!

I believe mine when from new to in progress and I'm awaiting interview outcome and it's still in progress.

Maybe it's different for other cases?

Pretty sure 455driver has it right. You're awaiting the initial sift. It will move to 'In Progress' once that is done. Could be a while on that stage depending on the role.

'In Process' means an application is just that, and a candidate ref number is allocated to you. It can remain as such for quite a while, I have two 'in process' one since 2012 and the other from this year, both trainee driver posts.

Ginger RO2S southampton central and i have interview 13.10.2015 :D

Ah good luck! They recently changed the interview questions and it's much nice now than it used to be.

You will have to give examples of times when you've encountered a problem at work and what you did to fix it, also about what you would do if something happened and a few more I have forgotten. Make sure you give examples of where you follow rules and procedures and stay safe as the role is safety critical.

Only takes around 40 mins?

If I remember any other questions I'll let you know.

Had my interview for another RO2 somewhere else a few week a go, still waiting to hear.
