Swt final selection interview

Hi,

I have a SWT final selection interview and criteria based interview coming in early december, I was just wondering if anybody has been through this recently and what i should do or look out for?

Also what is the difference between the the final and criteria based interview?

Any help would be appreciated

Well done. Afraid I can't help as they are different to the clerical ones I think.

Criteria based interview is the structured interview to check you have relevant life experience to be a driver. Other one is a driver manager interview which is done by company, not OPC. There are plenty of threads on here detailing both

No problem I appreciate that you don't want to waste this opportunity. Preparation is the key to both interviews. Have you thought up some good examples for the criteria based interview yet?

Just completed the 2 interviews and i think they went well i have to wait 10 days for a reply.

Lasted about 3-4 hours, i have now done all assessments and interviews so if i get the green light on the interviews its medical next then my referees and im in, fingers crossed.

Can I just ask what does OPC stand for??

Afaik all of the recruitment process is done in house at SWT's assessment centre in Southampton regardless of grade.

I have in the past done all my assessments and interviews at Basingstoke too, however the company have recently moved recruitment to Overline House at Southampton Central.

Hi just thought I would let people know I rang SOUTH WEST TRAINS today and they told me I was SUCCESSFUL at my structured and criteria based interviews WOOHOO! So I'm nearly there just medical and referees to go.

Can't wait to get started, thanks to everybody that helped

had a phone call last night from SWT saying welldone for passing the interviews and they will send me for a medical when a vacancies comes available, as she said theres no point sending me on one now and then a job does not come up for a year then my medical would of run out and they would have to send me on another! So makes sense just the waiting game now

Hope your right that im nearly there, but theres a few people saying the next courses are not until 2014! gutted if its true.

They tried quite hard to get me on that coarse as well, but to many loose ends to tie up. So they have put me down for the on in March.

Hope your your right i know whats it like waiting, i was for about 2 years! but now i start in feb and now it feels to fast lol.

Hi got my job offer in writing today and to say i have passed the the medical, just reading through all the notes and contract is going to take a while.

Just wondering does anybody know about the pension scheme as in transferring my existing pension over ? As its a NHS pension would it be better keeping it there or transferring over to SWT? Thanks

Do these course come up on the normal career vacancies as I have never seen one?

I am looking to change my career from a technical office based one to one that gets me out of the office.

I am based in Bmouth so I presume Southampton and Bournemouth would be my best hubs?
