SWT delay claims on season tick

My colleague was talking about some poor performance on her line and she said she didn't know how to get refunds anymore.

Can you folks clarify the situation for her please? Here is her statement, I can ask further questions if necessary thanks.

"My card covers zones 1-4 which I bought at Bank station. I used to buy my annual ticket from my local station Worcester Park (South West trains) and they would give me a refund on renewal.

They give me a Gold Record Card which means I get discounted national rail tickets. Its due for renewal on 28/9/16 and cost £1844. "

Buying her ticket from London Underground (to have it issued on Oyster I guess?) unnecessarily complicates the process.

My paperwork suggests that should a renewal be performed at a London Underground station, the passenger should be redirected to the TOC to claim their discount back. She would need to declare her normal route to prevent abuse of the process, and exactly how the TOC will be able to handle such a request I don't really know, as she would no longer exist in the TOC's database. This procedure may be out-of-date as my paperwork is from quite a while ago, but I have nothing more recent which has superceded it.

I assume that she has a home address near Worcester Park? If so, it would make it easier to show that the journey she declared is the journey she makes.

Void day refunds will need to be claimed from the TOC, AFAIK.

I guess the only advantage of having it on an oyster is that it is easier at barriers.
