I've applied for the above and been offered an assessment at Basingstoke shortly. The letter only mentions an assessment and I've been sent sample tests and a link to more on the internet, but reading some posts here it seems the interview may be straight after the tests if one is successful. Can anyone advise if this is the case please?

The positing is full time Rest Day Relief but based on a line where all the ticket offices are mornings only and part time positions from other adverts I've seen. How would the hours be made up from working at these part time offices to full time hours?

Any assistance gratefully received.

The interview will NOT be on the same day as the assessment, as the interview will be held with a local manager rather than at the Assessment centre. You will get a letter inviting you to an interview if you pass the assessment.

This is something you'd have to ask when you later have the interview, I have no idea how it works.

Best of luck. :)

Peased to hear it - but 3 to 4 hours seems a long assesment.

Best of luck

Thank you.

Thank you.

They say 3-4h as a guidance as it takes about 1h to get everyone signed in and collect all their paperwork for HR, then the assessments won't take longer than 30min or so in total, then they get marked and feedback is given, that can take up to 1h if there is a large group all doing assessments at the same time. When I went for mine, it took just over 2h total and there were nearly 20 or so people there for assessments.

RDR will be full time if they say so. I am not sure if this a case everywhere but in my area (mix of FT and PT positions) a relief guy always works full time shift. If one day he is at normally part time station then the hours on that day are extended, so it's open a bit earlier and closed later to fill RDR's weekly hours.

Good luck ;)
