The Lymington 158 returns to Bournemouth Depot during the week, and is the same unit all week. On a Friday it returns home to Salisbury.

The Lymington unit comes down on Monday on the rear of 5D96 05+05 Salisbury Depot - Southampton Central. It then runs as 5B05 05+44 Southampton Central - Brockenhurst and runs the branch all day ending with 5B65 23+12 Brockenhurst - Bournemouth Depot. Tuesday - Thursday it works up as 5B06 05+10 Bournemouth Depot - Brockehurst and returns as before to Bournemouth in the evening. On Fridays, it returns to Salisbury after working the branch as 5B66 22+55 Brockenhurst - Southampton Central, where it is then attached to 2R99 22:58 Romsey - Romsey and then runs 5S99 23+50 Romsey - Salisbury Depot.
