Hello there everyone.

Hopefully this kind of post isn't against the rules in the forum, but it seems that this is the best place to post.

I just want to know from anyone who's quite good at this sort of stuff on how to pass a situational judgement test for a Rail Operator 2 (Platform Assistant).

I've been attempting to get the job for platform for many years but have been unsuccessful because of the test.

The test consists of customer service scenarios and you get four answers and two of them are either 'Most effective' or 'Least effective'.

I'm not looking for answers, I'm just looking for tips.

Essentially you need to consider safety 1st in any question along with the requirement to follow any rules/regulations. After that its customer service. If you follow those general guidelines you won't go far wrong

Always keep in mind safety before anything else. Remember to ALWAYS follow rules and regulations WITHOUT any leeways, every bit of paperwork MUST be done. Do NOT escalate situation when in trouble with customer/manager etc. try to difuse it BUT do NOT sacrifice rules and H&S in the process. Follow your gut feeling, do not overthink answers and read about situation VERY carefully. Remember that role you are applying for is safety critical and very responsible and customer service is also very important.
Edit: looks like MostlyHarmless covered all topics when I was still typing - it's even better as we both gave you same advice so it should count for something :D
