Just wondering if anyone might have any insight into what SWR's Weymouth-Waterloo service will look like on Sunday 16 April, and when (or indeed if) Advance tickets will become available?
The SWR booking engine currently flags up journeys on that day with this message:
(For what it's worth, no warning message currently shows up on the NRE planner.)
NRE's Future Engineering Works section shows that "Engineering work is taking place between Weybridge and Woking / Andover, closing some lines" (my emphasis).
However there's no detail yet about how Weymouth services might run yet - if they can't use the South West Main Line (SWML) then there's the diversion route via the Portsmouth Direct line up to Guildford, then Effingham Junction and Hinchley Wood to get back onto the SWML near Surbiton.
Any educated guesses? Many thanks!
