Waterloo, Wimbledon, Strawberry Hill with there retention allowance and London weighting allowance about £82,000
Hi folks I’ve recently applied for the SWR talent pool they keep coming on and off-line in the last few days for Waterloo , Fratton etc, I’ve already done my assessments with SE and they last five years, how long do you think I’ll be waiting to get called up for an interview

How long's a piece of string? Unfortunately railway recruitment tends to move pretty slowly. They're likely working through a backlog of applications, so the best advice is to just sit tight and wait. Have you done the online assessments? If so, then just be patient. They'll let you know when they're ready.

Anybody heard back yet?
I called SW recruitment today (I applied for the Weymouth posting) and said I had passed the online test but that the automated email said only top scorers go through, etc. The very friendly recruitment staff said that I should ignore that comment about top scorers and that if I had passed the online test then I would be offered an assessment centre sometime next year - although she said she had no idea when this would be.

I applied on 23/09/24, had an assessment last week and passed. There is a computer assessment day on the 18th (stage 2). Rumours are they are recruiting quite heavily. For anyone who has an assessment centre coming up, my advice is to read up on each of the tests on the info booklet and especially on the forums.
Did the person who sent you the invite, did her name begin a “K”? I checked my junk email, it was an attachment email with the headline “Trainee Train Driver” as soon as I clicked to view the email it disappeared. Checked my bin to see if it was moved there. It’s no where to be found.
Thanks for the info. I'm assuming the first set of tests at the assessment day was the ones referred to in the booklet that we downloaded during the application stage online? Many thanks

Hello, I am fortunate enough to have passed both assessments and am in the waiting list for a D.I (Drivers Interview)
Can anyone give some advice how to do well? Tips? What to expect etc... Anything that can help basically!

So daft question: how long do applicants for this role remain in the talent pool on average? Also how high is the pass mark for the error spotting test that you take online as part of the initial phase?

Both questions are unfortunately a case of "How long is a piece of string?". It will depend on recruitment for both. One good thing is courses have increased cohort wise to double digits from single of last year which is good news, potentially for applicants from what I've heard and seen.
About all I know on these things however
