Whilst 450s are getting towards the end of repaints, it is still a low proportion of the overall fleet currently in use, as still about 800 coaches in SWT colours.

Yes but from a selfish perspective, its the 450s in blue that I always found rather ugly, so I’m just glad they’re almost gone even if the white and red liveries, and 458s in blue, remain for now.

Indeed. If things had gone to plan the fleet should have been 100% SWR livery by now.

To say that things haven't gone to plan is a bit of an understatement!

Certainly getting near the end - my sightings of blue units are increasingly rare.

Might as well make a start on the 455s now, it’s not as if they’re going anywhere anytime soon.

Temporary fleets with other operators wore the correct livery for far less time than the suburban SWR fleet has wore out of date SWT red.

In any case they were only repainted a few years ago, done around 2014-2015 at Bournemouth, so they'll be bean cans well before they need another repaint.

I'm not sure how accurate it is but on RTT they're both still in SWT liveries

Ah, but 90% of the TfW 150s, some 153 and 175, and a number of EMR 360s and 170s are also in wrong liveries so it can’t be taken as fact right now. I think Tom said somewhere a big update on liveries was planned for later in the year when more important behind the scenes stuff is finished.

Not got long for the blue 450s now. I know I’ve said it countless times before but I can’t count the Stagecoach liveries as one when it comes to which I prefer. I hate the blue and I’m not a fan of the red either, but I do think the 444s look nice in the white even if it is often very dirty now.

The white based one is a classic. Never particularly keen on the blue or red version. They've all really had their day.

I think the new livery looks stunning if it's a fresh state. When left unclean, I think the white livery is more shabby than the old livery. I like them both.

Tend to agree. 158/159 being a case in point.

Cleaning (lack of) of the fronts of trains seems to be an ongoing issue for SWR for some reason. The problem started in the later days of SWT and got worse under SWR. In some instances it's so bad the yellow warning panel can barely be made out.

When you're standing on a platform and the train approaching you has a front black with filth it gives the impression the whole train is dirty even if the sides have been washed.

450100 has gained white vinyl ‘nameplates’ for Transport Benevolent Fund CIO, the unit presumably chosen as it’s their centenary year. Not sure when these were applied but I don’t recall seeing them or any mention here previously, so I presume they’re new?
