Yes both 103 and ill-fated 102.

Yup, 159102 & 103 got a "cracker" style livery whereas the others got the modified version

Chaos on the Waterloo to Exeter line today.
I am currently on a two coach 158 (158890) to Exeter St David's. The train before had problems at Salisbury so everyone on that train has crowded onto this one. Earlier, 159020 only made it from Exeter to Salisbury

Ironically U.159108 has been on Salisbury : Romsey : Salisbury shuttle today vice a Class 158!!

My immediate thought is that they've changed supplier, and either the new supplier couldn't replicate the old ones, or whoever ordered them just gave a description rather than supplying the old template.

I agree they look very down-market.

Strange. The old ones are in SWT font, but so is almost everything else on that 159.

Yes. Out to tender last July for commencement “early 2022”. I wonder if the extra seating capacity will still be included…

Should be starting very soon. Like the GW Turbo refurbishment, I believe the 2 cars will be starting first.

Does this involve full SWR external repaints? Presumably those with SWT interiors will have the same interiors as the refurbished 159/0s

I would like to hope that the refurb will be more intensive than the previous continuation of the SWT contract over to the 159/0. None of the interiors got a repaint or received new tables with power sockets. But only time will tell..

Hello, have we got more to add to this list? It seems more and more like a half and half chance of seeing SWR or SWT livery when Desiros arrive now, so it must be progressing rather fast now.

450061/066 are out of repaint apparently and are working Winchester Bournemouths and Weybridge via Hounslows respectively today according to RealTime Trains (which shows them as /5s still as the data feed does)

It has, it’s actually been moved back several rows (2 windows worth) to create the extra standard class space.

I’m glad personally, as I think the SWT Blue livery is far more of an eyesore than the mainline White livery, even if the latter is getting a little grubby.

I think since the partition was moved (by two windows or 16 seats worth?) there’s actually a pair of standard table bays with extra legroom, or at the least decent legroom and window alignment compared to most other bays.

Really good to know what has and hasn’t been done, it’s getting more and more likely to see units in SWR colours. Greatly miss the SWT livery though!

Now I’m thinking this won’t happen, but what do we reckon the chances are of 444040 and 450111 being put into the repainted version of the livery are - as the vinyl wraps do not age particularly well. I saw 444040 at Brockenhurst recently, and the small recessions where the joins between sheets of vinyl are, are filled with dirt. The vinyl also seems to scratch easier, so naturally after four years of brushing past trees and bushes on its journeys it seems to be looking a bit tired and tatty. No doubt 450111 is the same. A repaint into the harder wearing painted version of the livery wouldn’t go amiss in my opinion. Just something I noticed.

It was mentioned very early on either on this thread or elsewhere that of course they'll be repainted, but likely to be the last units to be done.

And Re: First class being shrank on 444s, yes it has been made smaller. As LOL The Irony stated above, the pillar between windows is thicker where the partition used to be - of course it was built around SWT’s config. You can also tell it’s been shrunk somewhat by looking back at older photos of the units, pre SWR interior refurb they have the blue first class indicator dots going further along, beyond the orange body side marker light. Post SWR interior refurb, they don’t reach the body side marker light.
