Hi all,
I recently passed my assessment and have been told to research the role and come up with questions to ask when I’m at the first interview - but I won’t be on the railway much to ask anyone (as the stations I normally use don’t have them).
Can someone help me out by describing day to day activities and help formulate some potential questions (if possible)? TIA!!

Train dispatch.
Safety checks.
Passenger assist (wheelchair ramps) VIP assistance. Luggage assists.
Bins / cleaning.
General passenger help - train times, ticketing info etc.
general station help - assisting with substitute bus preperation etc.

I’m only gateline but this is what I see ours doing.

Best bet is to get yourself to a busy station with 3-4 ROs and politely ask their jobs.
I’m sure they’d be willing to give you a run down if they’re not busy.

I too passed the assessment for Ro2,then interview at Bournemouth. 2 interviewers ,asked what I thought the role entailed. Asked what I would look for on arrival at a station(clean tidy, trolleys away ,no visible obstructions. Asked what I would do if a drunk passenger was stumbling around abusing staff\passengers alike.Asked how I worked alone or in a team
