Any scrap moves likely this week?

It left late so could be another unit was planned and couldn't form part of the trip for whatever reason or only one was ever going.

Yes two out currently. Allocations are posted in this thread, the units for today here and there's one diagram which is regularly 455s at the moment.

As a consolation for no drag this week. here's last Thursday's. A little early on the down main at Little Moor Lane Bridge, Loughborough. It was going at quite a lick, too. Stiil from a video.

The move was planned to just be 5870. Lack of storage space at Litchurch Lane is supposedly the reason.

Next scrap move is due to be Monday. 5729&5719 with 37884. Loco already waiting at Wembley.

Today is likely the penultimate scrap move until the end of March.

Only seven units now remain on the SWR network.

Six of them (5712, 5716, 5717, 5721, 5727 & 5732) are being kept at Wimbledon to cover for any malfunctioning 701s for another eight weeks.

5873 missed the ride last week with 5870 and will move next.

5709 and 5720 have both recently gone to Wards recycling in Ilkeston. I’m led to believe that a fair few 58XXs have also gone to Wards recycling recently but I am unable to provide numbers at present.

There is a log list of coach numbers quoted in the February Railway Magazine (Page 81) with dates removed from Derby. The interesting thing is that the consignee at Derby is quoted as "Opus Group" not Wards, but are they possibly the same firm or is Wards part of Opus Group, perhaps ??
Interesting that no coaches of 5868 (the B/G one) have been quoted yet - so perhaps this is still hanging on after all (it was quoted some weeks back as close to removal).

Is is probably too early to be looking at RTT, for next Wednesdays short term plans/paths as they are not usually entered on the system when I check on a Sunday.

More likely a Monday to Friday task so Fridays could appear earlier than two days (maybe on Monday). Only Monday might appear the previous week so Friday.

Bit of conjecture there but you can hopefully see what is likely. Remember these are STPs - Short Term Plans. A VSTP/VST - Very Short Term Plan would be more last minute.
