All of 5703 and half of 5723 have left litchurch lane to my understanding. The destination is a bit mysterious but is thought to be either Kingsbury or Wards in Ilkeston.

To add, the theory is that the 455s dragged from Wimbledon to Derby are then GRADUALLY leaving Derby by road one or two coaches at a time. As @SEtrains says no one is sure where the gas axeing actually happens.

Good use of these units and it’s great to see them carrying on until presumably mid Feb or early March at the latest. Would probably suggest folk who still want to bash a 455, do so before the end of Feb, March looks increasingly unlikely.

As only the Main Slows between Waterloo and Wimbledon are open this weekend, on the Windsor lines there is nothing east of Clapham Junction (today) and Barnes (Sunday) there is a reduced service operating on SWR so there is more chance of snow in London than a 455 running.

With only one pair of 455s running this week I suspect it only takes one (or two to be safe) more 701/0s to be in service for the 455s to be retired even if still kept just in case. Required availability of 701/0s is however eye wateringly high when the service levels are "normal" iitc.
