This is quite true, but is it not a DB location ? If so, parking units there may well incurr a fee. If it is a Network Rail location, I don't think they charge.

If you don't mind me asking, which train service was this because RTT/LRR does not show anything for this pair after Fri 07.11.25 so there is probably an allocation error somewhere?

If the other set is demic and couldn’t be moved, it’s even more of a waste to send nothing.
Very true, the path, traction and driver will all have been paid for, so best to use them !

But if Sims at Newport are not taking them in, what are the options. If they are dumped at Alexander Dock Jcn like the last two lots, somebody has got to move them into Sims eventually and you need a loco with suitable couplings to do that, DB 66s can't just hook up and tow them in.

Maybe even Willesden EMR as I know that has a disused rail connection into it.
