Hello ,

I was just wondering if someone applied or went through the recruitment process for a gateline position recently for SWR ?

I tried searching for some threads but none seems to be really recent.

I’m looking to help a friend of mine.

She filled out the online application a few weeks ago , then had a Zoom “interview” for 15 mins with a few basic questions.

Like what she knows about the jobs , why she wants to apply etc.

On Friday she got a call that she passed that and the next step is a 60 mins long face to face interview at the local station.

What can she expect there ?

Will there be more of like “ tell me a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer?” or “ tell me a time when you had to work alone / part of a team ?” and things like that ?

Also there was no online or in person assessment day.
Usually that’s first and then the interviews.

Any help would be great.

Thank you

I work for SWR and have never interviewed for a gateline role but it will be questions about the role, how you’d deal with certain situations such as difficult customers and they’ll ask questions about you and try to get to know you better as most of the time it’s the local management who do these interviews unless it changed since I had one for station

Thank you so much.
I’ll pass it onto her.

She works in a shop at the moment selling furniture , so does deal with difficult customers, specially when orders running late

Definitely can get a few examples from her work place.

She does have to go to the local station , so it seems like it’ll be with the station management.
